Geriatric dentistry
We treat the oral needs
of elderly people.
Caring for the smile of our elders
Geriatric dentistry, a growing specialty within the field of dentistry, focuses on providing specialized dental care to older adults. As life expectancy continues to increase in many parts of the world, proper oral care becomes increasingly important to ensure a good quality of life in later life.
As we age, our body undergoes changes that also affect our oral health. Older adults are more susceptible to dental problems such as tooth loss, gum disease, dry mouth, and chewing problems. Additionally, certain medical conditions and medications used to treat them can have a negative impact on the oral health of seniors.

Bruxism
Bruxism is characterized by the involuntary act of clenching or grinding the teeth, usually during sleep. It can also occur during the day, although this is often called "daytime bruxism." Bruxism can affect people of all ages and can be a chronic condition if not treated properly.

Anti-snoring splint
An anti-snoring splint is a device used to help reduce or eliminate snoring and sleep apnea in certain people. It is designed to be worn during sleep and fits over the patient's mouth to keep the upper airway open and allow freer air flow.
